Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Support the Senior Project Manager in overseeing engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) execution.
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, and milestones, ensuring alignment with contractual and financial targets.
- Coordinate with engineering, construction, procurement, and commissioning teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Track project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to prevent delays or cost overruns.
- Manage contractor performance, change orders, and scope modifications, ensuring contract compliance.
- Enforce safety, environmental, and quality control standards, ensuring adherence to OSHA, NFPA, ASME, IEEE, API, and EPA regulations.
- Serve as the acting Project Manager when required, ensuring continuity of leadership and decision-making.
- Assist in preparing project reports, stakeholder updates, and risk management assessments.
- Strong understanding of EPC project execution, including scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and contractor coordination.
- Experience managing power plant conversions, retrofits, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with contract negotiation, change order management, and subcontractor oversight.
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, ensuring efficient communication between engineering, construction, and regulatory teams.
- Knowledge of power plant safety, permitting, and environmental compliance.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to proactively address project risks and challenges.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience in client and contractor coordination.
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods and perform computer work daily.
- Ability to walk job sites and ascend/descend ladders/stairs as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related field) preferred, but equivalent work experience will be considered.
- Master’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Business Administration (preferred).
- PMP certification and/or Professional Engineer (PE) License (preferred).
- 10 years of experience in EPC project management for large-scale power generation projects.
- OSHA-30 certification preferred.
