Job Summary:
PIC Group is seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner to join our team. This position requires the ability to work with Managers, Supervisors, Hydro Technicians, contractors, and equipment suppliers. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating maintenance activities to ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of the plant. The Maintenance Planner will collaborate with the Maintenance Manager and other team members to develop maintenance strategies, optimize equipment reliability, and minimize downtime. The focus of the Maintenance Planner is to support multiple regions with preventive and corrective maintenance planning, inventory control, and maintenance program improvements.
The role requires 10% -20% travel to various sites, primarily in the Northeast, with opportunities to work remotely when the job allows.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain detailed maintenance schedules for preventive and corrective maintenance tasks, ensuring minimal disruption to plant operations.
- Coordinate with Managers and Supervisors to prioritize and schedule maintenance activities based on plant needs and operational requirements.
- Collaborate with contractors and equipment suppliers to procure necessary resources, parts, and services for maintenance activities.
- Maintain and update the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) with accurate equipment data, maintenance schedules, and work order information.
- Ensure that maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company standards.
- Monitor and report on maintenance performance metrics, including equipment reliability, downtime, and maintenance costs.
- Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance programs and procedures to enhance plant reliability and efficiency.
- Maintain an inventory of spare parts and tools, ensuring availability for planned and unplanned maintenance activities.
- Support the Maintenance Manager and team with planning major equipment overhauls and plant upgrades.
- When conditions dictate, overtime and weekend work will be required (with little or no prior notification).
- Able to work and travel within multiple areas of operations.
Job Requirements:
- Proficient in the use of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Familiarity with maintenance planning and scheduling techniques.
- Experience in coordinating and managing outside resources (vendors, consultants) to accomplish maintenance objectives.
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Understanding of safety practices and regulatory compliance in a power generation environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work at heights, including climbing ladders and stairs, and in confined or enclosed spaces.
- Capability to lift and carry equipment and tools weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, and work for extended periods in various environmental conditions, including heat, cold, and noise.
Education / Experience:
- 5 years of experience in maintenance planning within the power generation or industrial sector.
- Experience with Primavera software and planning/scheduling tools is preferred.
- Technical degree or certification in a related field is a plus.
