Job Summary

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Supervise, train, coach, counsel, and manage the performance of Engineers and Lab staff.
- Analyze and report on plant performance, ensuring efficiency and compliance with safety standards.
- Oversee capital projects, including outage planning, turbine maintenance, boiler inspections, and ensure adherence to NERC compliance.
- Manage site water balance, chemistry, and environmental permits, adjusting as necessary to maintain optimal conditions.
- Prepare and maintain accurate plant documentation and reports, including solid waste, water appropriations, and air quality compliance.
- Investigate operational issues, report findings, and collaborate with management and staff to implement solutions.
- Lead scheduled outage planning, including timing, length, and resource coordination.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for plant-related communications, including subcontractor coordination and client updates.
- Provide on-call support for operational issues, weekend/holiday rotation, and serve as a backup for the Plant Manager and other Supervisors.
- Must be willing to work non-traditional hours to meet project needs.
- Assist with the upcoming major outage (March 28th - May 16th), including pre-outage planning and execution.
- Manages and oversees company staff, subcontractors, suppliers, and programs such as safety, quality for all assigned projects.
- Identifies, understands, and actively manages plant risks.
- Knowledge of thermodynamics, heat transfer, chemistry, and fluid dynamics.
- Detailed knowledge of plant operations, prints, flow diagrams, and piping & instrument diagrams.
- Strong communication and management skills, with proficiency in business computing (spreadsheets, word processing, and databases).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb stairs, and work in hot, cold, dark, dusty, and confined environments.
- Able to sit or stand for long periods and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
- A four-year degree, from an accredited university with a concentration in construction, engineering, or related field preferred.
- 5 years in power plant operations or industrial project management, with a focus on large boiler systems (preferably cyclone boilers).
- Familiarity with dry scrubber technology preferred
- Experience with B&W cycling, large cyclone boilers, B&W boilers, Siemens equipment, or Westinghouse turbines is preferred but not required. Comparable experience with similar equipment will be considered
