- Experience with rotating machinery and dispatch generation
- Proficiency with CMMS systems, SAP preferred

This position requires a thorough understanding of plant operating procedures, safety regulations, and environmental compliance. The Plant Operator will perform operational tasks, troubleshoot equipment, execute LOTO procedures, and assist with maintenance activities as needed.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Supervise maintenance personnel and contractors to complete routine, forced, and scheduled maintenance within budget and schedule.
- Enforce safety standards and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulations
- Maintain plant reliability by implementing preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.
- Utilize CMMS (SAP) for work management, equipment tracking, and historical record-keeping.
- Develop and maintain maintenance plans, job sequences, and work procedures.
- Conduct root cause analysis, condition monitoring, and proactive maintenance initiatives.
- Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and equipment data to troubleshoot and optimize performance.
- Lead and train maintenance staff, ensuring competency and adherence to company policies.
- Prepare weekly and monthly maintenance reports, tracking KPIs and operational efficiency.
- Coordinate critical equipment isolation and maintain communication between operations, maintenance, and engineering teams.
- Strong understanding of steam, mechanical, and electrical systems and their integration for plant operations.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and operational procedures.
- Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
- Proficiency with CMMS systems, SAP preferred
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds, climb stairs and ladders, and work at heights.
- Work in extreme weather conditions and confined spaces as needed.
- Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including fire-resistant clothing, safety glasses, and hard hats.
- High school diploma or GED required
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or related discipline preferred
- 8 years of experience in electrical power generation, including rotating machinery, power plant operations, dispatch generation, or maintenance/repairs of power plant equipment
- 4 years of leadership experience in power generation a plus
- CMRT or CMRP certification a plus
