Job Overview
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Landscape Designer to join our dynamic team. This role involves collaborating with clients to create innovative outdoor spaces that are both functional and aesthetically pleasing. The Landscape Designer will be responsible for developing design concepts, preparing detailed plans, and ensuring project execution aligns with client expectations.
Duties
- Collaborate with clients to understand their vision and requirements for landscape projects.
- Develop comprehensive landscape design concepts using CAD, Adobe, and Revit software.
- Create detailed plans and specifications for hardscape elements, plant selections, and irrigation systems.
- Conduct site assessments to evaluate conditions and constraints affecting design.
- Utilize GIS technology to analyze geographical data for informed decision-making.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively throughout the design process.
- Coordinate with civil engineering teams to ensure designs meet structural requirements.
- Prepare construction estimates and assist in the bidding process as necessary.
- Oversee the implementation of designs on-site, ensuring quality control during construction.
Experience
- Proven experience in landscape design or a related field is preferred.
- Proficiency in design software such as CAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Rhinoceros 3D, and Revit.
- Familiarity with project management principles and construction estimating practices.
- Knowledge of hardscape materials and techniques is advantageous.
- Experience using GIS tools for site analysis is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to effectively present ideas to clients and collaborate with team members.
