Responsibilities
- Assist patients in choosing the appropriate eyewear based on their prescription and lifestyle needs.
- Accurately interpret and verify prescriptions from eye care professionals.
- Accurately interpret insurance benefits to patients.
- Fit and adjust eyeglasses to ensure proper comfort and functionality.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and billing information.
- Educate patients on the proper care and use of their eyewear.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Check eyewear for accuracy when they arrive from the lab.
- Stay updated on the latest optical products, trends, and technologies.
- Notify patients when new eyewear arrives.
- Troubleshoot any optical issues with dispensing, adjusting and repairing eyewear.
- Handle retail sales transactions efficiently while providing excellent customer service.
Skills
- Strong sales skills with the ability to engage customers effectively.
