JOB SUMMARY
The Cashier Supervisor managers a team of store cashiers within the Crossing Travel Center. The supervisor is responsible for adequate staffing to ensure that the customer wait time is minimized. The Cashier Supervisor greets customers, answers questions and resolves issues and responsible for training of cashiers.
Essential Duties
- Resolve customer complaints and maintain excellent customer relations.
- Monitors Cash drawers for overages and/or shortages.
- Verifies daily deposits.
- Trains cashiers on all aspects of their position.
- Monitors equipment condition to ensure it remains in working order.
- Establishing a positive work environment for all employees
- Assisting customers with purchasing items
- Preparing reports for every cash register
- Assisting other cashiers when necessary
- Resolving issues with point-of-sale (POS) systems
- Ensuring clean workspaces
- Interacting with customers and determining their needs
- Performing price checks
- Overseeing employee breaks, especially during busy periods
- Cashing out registers
- Achieve and Maintain Certifications, Alcoholic Beverage sales, and Food Handler Certification, Propane certification.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Control Walk in and Freezer inventory and Health and Safety requirements
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age
- Valid State issued Driver’s License
- 1 year minimum experience in retail business
- Must successfully pass a background check
- Must successfully pass a drug test for all non-cannabis substance
- Must be approved for a gaming badge.
- Must have a flexible schedule including but not limited to nights, weekends, and holidays.

- Must be able to work rotating shifts.
- Ability to calculate sales and change quickly.
- Accountability and accuracy in reconciling sales receipts and records.
- Service-oriented and willing to help patrons.
- Customer service skills to maintain positive customer relationships, encourage customer loyalty and resolve conflicts.
- Knowledge of point-of-sales system.

- Familiarity with the Tribe’s Constitution, laws, and culture is preferred, but not required.
- Ability to work in a high-performance, fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills.
- Adept at multi-tasking, have unquestionable integrity, with a commitment to accuracy.
- Organized with unfailing attention to detail and outstanding project management skills.
- High level of comfort/ease interacting with all levels in the Tribe.
- Ability to translate complex legal issues and requirements into understandable terms for easy dissemination across the organization.
- Ability to complete tasks in a timely and accurate manner.
- Must operate and maintain confidentiality.

PRCI Tribal Preference:
In accordance with applicable Tribal Law, and Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act, the PRCI Administration shall give preference in hiring, promotion, transfer, and lay-off to enrolled members of the Picayune Rancheria of Chukchansi Indians. To qualify for this preference, applicants must submit verification of enrollment in the Tribe. Preference means that Tribal Members who are equally qualified as non-tribal members will be hired. In addition, on the Human Resources Interview rubric that allows for a total of 75 points during interviews, Tribal members will be awarded an additional 7.5 points (10% of allotted points) counted in the overall tally. Tribal members who are not Chukchansi will receive Indian preference by awarding five additional points (6.7% of the total allotted points).
