JOB SUMMARY
The Tobacco Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Willow Glenn stores, including managing inventory, ensuring compliance with tobacco regulations, supervising staff, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. The ideal candidate must have excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills and be able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Duties
- Must have a customer service orientation and willingness to deal with people daily.
- Ability to count money and make accurate change.
- Keep track of the stock levels to ensure that the store always has enough products to meet customer demand.
- Schedule Tobacco Clerks for each day’s business needs.
- Hire and Train Tobacco Clerks and ensure that policies are being followed.
- Check all invoices for shortages and proper billing.
- Balance daily bank deposits.
- Document shipments and deliveries to replenish inventory.
- Monitor and manage inventory turnover in the store to avoid overstocking or understocking.
- Manage and coordinate inventory activities, including receiving, storing, and organizing products.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to identify and reconcile discrepancies.
- This position require travel and include safe operation of company owned vehicles.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum three (3) years of retail experience, including managing people.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, supply chain management, or similar studies.
- Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
- Must have a valid Driver’s license.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.
- Knowledge of MS Office and ability to work with Inventory software.
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment background and drug screening.

- Familiarity with the Tribe’s Constitution, laws, and culture is preferred, but not required.
- Ability to work in a high-performance, fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills.
- Adept at multi-tasking, have unquestionable integrity, with a commitment to accuracy.
- Organized with unfailing attention to detail and outstanding project management skills.
- High level of comfort/ease interacting with all levels in the Tribe.
- Ability to complete tasks in a timely and accurate manner.
- Must operate and maintain confidentiality.

PRCI Tribal Preference:
In accordance with applicable Tribal Law and Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act, the PRCI Administration shall give preference in hiring, promotion, transfer, and lay-off to enrolled members of the Picayune Rancheria of Chukchansi Indians. To qualify for this preference, applicants must meet minimum qualifications of employment and submit verification of enrollment in the Tribe. Tribal preference means that Tribal Members who are equally qualified as non-tribal members will be hired. In addition, on the Human Resources Interview rubric that allows for a total of 75 points during interviews, Tribal members will be awarded an additional 7.5 points (10% of total allotted points) counted in the overall tally. Tribal members who are not Chukchansi will receive Indian preference by awarding five additional points (6.7% of the total allotted points).
