Job Summary:
The Weatherization and Home Repair Assistant will work alongside the Weatherization and Home Repair Director to provide a point of contact for client inquiries regarding home repair and weatherization programs. The Assistant will assist in answering emails and/or phone calls from residents who would like to apply for these programs. The Weatherization and Home Repair Assistant will assist in processing applications, maintaining the waiting list, maintaining accurate and complete client files, and returning client calls and/or emails inquiring about the status of their application.
Required Qualifications:
- High-school diploma or equivalency
- Valid Driver’s License and the ability to be insured under the agency policy
- Associate Degree or undergraduate work in clerical studies is preferred
- Knowledge & experience using Microsoft Office applications
- Minimum 2 years customer service experience
- Knowledge of home repair and weatherization services
- Must be able to successfully complete a criminal background check
- Must be able to successfully complete a drug screen
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office program
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for assisting the Director with applications for all projects (HWAP, HAGP, HPG, EPP, etc.) and keeping an updated waiting list for each project.
- Responsible for maintaining accurate and complete client records to assist the Director with reporting requirements of the agency and funding sources.
- Responsible for fielding and answering department calls.
- Responsible for driving to customer’s homes or jobsites to complete paperwork and/or construction conferences.
- Ensures timely and accurate completion of all necessary paperwork and correct filing and submission of applications.
- Attends trainings and meetings as required.
- Works with PICCA staff to ensure wait list is up to date and accurate.
- Ensures all contractors certifications and agreements are compliant and up to date.
- Refers clients to other PICCA programs and services.
- Has ability to obtain certifications to complete on-site energy audits for EPP and other energy programs.
