Summary
We are seeking a Dietary Aide to join our team at Pickering Manor. In this role, you will assist in the preparation and serving of meals to our residents while ensuring adherence to food safety standards. Your contributions will play a vital role in enhancing the dining experience and overall well-being of our senior residents.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and serving of meals according to dietary guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards in all kitchen activities.
- Help maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and dining areas.
- Provide excellent customer service to residents during meal times.
- Support dietary staff in menu planning and food production as needed.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report shortages.
Requirements
- Prior experience as a dietary aide or in a similar role is preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and dietary regulations is essential.
- Strong customer service skills with a compassionate approach to resident care.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
