We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Manager to oversee the operations of our healthcare unit. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS AN EVENING SHIFT POSITION WORKING FROM 3 P.M. TO 11 P.M. WITH ON CALL RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage daily operations within the unit, ensuring high standards of patient care.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective patient care plans.
- Monitor and evaluate staff performance, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Ensure adherence to aseptic techniques and safety protocols in all procedures.
- Facilitate health coaching sessions for patients, promoting wellness and recovery.
- Manage utilization of resources effectively to optimize patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities and unit operations.
- Coordinate training programs for staff on best practices in patient care
- Address any issues or concerns related to memory care, ensuring a supportive environment for patients.
Experience
- Previous experience in a managerial role within a healthcare setting is preferred.
- Proficiency in patient care practices
- Familiarity with medical office systems and utilization management processes is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively.
- A background in health coaching or related fields will be considered an asset.
