Unit Manager

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Manager to oversee the operations of our healthcare unit. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of patient care processes. This role requires a commitment to enhancing the quality of care provided to patients while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS AN EVENING SHIFT POSITION WORKING FROM 3 P.M. TO 11 P.M. WITH ON CALL RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage daily operations within the unit, ensuring high standards of patient care.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective patient care plans.
• Monitor and evaluate staff performance, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Ensure adherence to aseptic techniques and safety protocols in all procedures.
• Facilitate health coaching sessions for patients, promoting wellness and recovery.
• Manage utilization of resources effectively to optimize patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities and unit operations.
• Coordinate training programs for staff on best practices in patient care
• Address any issues or concerns related to memory care, ensuring a supportive environment for patients.

Experience

• Previous experience in a managerial role within a healthcare setting is preferred.
• Proficiency in patient care practices
• Familiarity with medical office systems and utilization management processes is highly desirable.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively.
• A background in health coaching or related fields will be considered an asset.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $83,000.00 - $89,000.00 per year
