What are the responsibilities and job description for the Head Coach position at Pickleball X?
The Pickleball Head Coach is responsible for managing all Pickleball operations at Pickleball Kingdom. This role involves organizing and executing a variety of Pickleball programs, including overseeing the development and implementation of training programs, conducting lessons and clinics, organizing leagues, round robins, events, and tournaments, and promoting the sport within the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement training programs for Pickleball coaches, focusing on technique, strategy, and game management.
- Organize and conduct Pickleball lessons, leagues, Junior Pickleball programs, clinics, and tournaments for players of all skill levels, from beginners to advanced.
- Oversee the scheduling of Pickleball courts through the court reservation system and ensure that all activities are conducted in an organized and safe manner.
- Build relationships with Pickleball equipment manufacturers and suppliers, referring interested parties to the General Manager.
- Promote the sport of Pickleball within the local community through marketing and outreach efforts.
- Work closely with the General Manager to ensure that Pickleball programs align with the club's overall goals, such as PB101.
- Recruit and train new Pickleball coaches, ensuring they are up-to-date with the latest techniques and equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of Pickleball activities, including attendance, revenue, and expenses.
- Provide excellent customer service to all members and visitors.
- Manage the Pro Shop to ensure stock levels of essential items, such as paddles (including demo paddles and rental paddles), balls, protective eyewear, over grips, apparel, etc.
Qualifications: The Pickleball Head Coach will work exclusively for Pickleball Kingdom and may be required to work evenings and weekends. The role includes physical activity, including demonstrating and teaching techniques and strategies, as well as moving and setting up equipment.
Other Qualifications:
- Certified Pickleball instructor or equivalent certification in a related sport.
- Strong knowledge of Pickleball rules, techniques, and strategy.
- Experience managing and leading a team of coaches.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Flexibility to work weekends and evenings.
- Physical ability to demonstrate and teach Pickleball techniques and strategies.
- Proficiency in computers, POS systems, and court reservation systems.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
