Lubricant Driver

Job Summary

Pico Propane and Fuels is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Lubricant Delivery Driver to join our team in Carrizo Springs, TX! This role is responsible for transporting and delivering oils, lubricants, refined fuels, and propane to customer locations using company vehicles.

The ideal candidate has experience in bulk liquid delivery, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to customer service and operational excellence.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Load, secure, transport, deliver, and unload bulk lubricants, oils, propane, and refined fuels
• Comply with all city, state, and federal transportation and safety regulations
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections on assigned vehicles and equipment
• Maintain cleanliness, operational efficiency, and safety of delivery vehicles
• Deliver products safely to a variety of customer sites, including industrial and commercial locations
• Complete and maintain accurate delivery records, including logs of hours, mileage, and products delivered
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, plant personnel, and customers regarding delivery details
• Report vehicle maintenance needs and any mechanical issues
• Adhere to all DOT, OSHA, and Pico safety policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Skills/Abilities:

• Strong understanding of safe loading/unloading procedures for liquid products
• Proficient in using navigation tools (GPS, smartphone apps, or maps)
• Detail-oriented with ability to maintain accurate delivery and inspection records
• Excellent time management and customer service skills
• Knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Class B CDL license with hazmat and tanker endorsements required (Class A preferred)
• Must meet all DOT requirements
• 2 years of experience in fuel, propane, or lubricant delivery (preferred)
• Clean driving record (no more than 1 moving violation in the past 2 years)

Physical, Mental, and Behavioral Requirements:

The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by the incumbent to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

• Position requires the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to heavy weights of 10 to 80 lbs. for approximately 90% of the work shift
• Ability to regularly climb in and out of a commercial motor vehicle, multiple times per work shift
• Good hand eye coordination, arm hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp and visual acuity to operate equipment is required, including at night
• Frequent sitting, reaching with hands and arms
• Must be able to speak and hear
• Position is subject to pre-hire DOT medical certification requirements and drug and/or alcohol testing, as well as a physical abilities test performed by a company provider
• Must pass the pre-employment screening
• Position may require working evening hours and weekends as needed
• Work is normally performed outside where exposure to conditions of extreme heat/cold, fumes, airborne particles and gases is common
