Job Summary
Pico Propane and Fuels is seeking an experienced Commercial Propane & Power Generation Sales Representative to drive sales and expand our customer base within the Houston to Beaumont region of the Texas Gulf Coast. Pico Propane and Fuels is a leading provider of propane, fuels, and energy solutions, serving commercial, industrial, and residential customers across Texas and beyond. The ideal candidate will have a background in the propane industry or related fields such as cryogenics, natural gas, distributed power, or industrial gases. This role requires a highly motivated sales professional who can develop relationships, identify business opportunities, and provide energy solutions tailored to commercial and industrial customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to grow commercial propane and power generation sales in the assigned territory.
- Identify, target, and acquire new commercial and industrial accounts, focusing on high-volume propane users such as manufacturing plants, refineries, agricultural operations, food processing facilities, and commercial fleets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention.
- Conduct site visits and consultations to assess customer needs and propose tailored propane and energy solutions.
- Work closely with internal teams, including operations, customer service, and technical support, to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Stay up to date on industry trends, regulations, and competitors to maintain a competitive edge.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts, reports, and market insights to management.
- Represent Pico Propane at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote our products and services.

Qualifications
Education, Certification & License Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required; a Bachelor’s degree in business, management, or a related field is preferred.
- 3 years of experience in B2B sales, business development, or account management, preferably in propane, fuels, energy, or industrial sales.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean and insurable driving record.
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong technical knowledge of propane applications, power generation, and energy solutions preferred.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a territory with minimal supervision.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet sales targets.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite - experience with Salesforce.com products a plus.
- Willingness to travel within the designated region.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
