Technical Support Specialist w/ IT Responsibilities
We are seeking a dynamic individual to play a key role in delivering exceptional customer experiences through expert technical support.
Position Overview
As a Technical Support Specialist at our Tyler, Texas location, you will be at the forefront of demonstrating the full potential of our PicoScope hardware. Using your skills in C/C /C#/Python/Matlab, you’ll create example code that highlights the capabilities of our products, enabling customers to unlock their full potential for various applications. Help support the growth in OEM business by assisting customers to write their own code using targeted examples.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Support: You will serve as an essential point of contact for customers, offering support in building diverse software applications. Whether it's troubleshooting, performance optimization, or introducing new features, your guidance will help customers achieve their goals effectively.
- Creating Example Code: Your primary responsibility will be developing example code that showcases the powerful features of our PicoScope hardware. Using your expertise in C/C /C#/Python/Matlab, you will create code snippets that allow customers to explore and utilize our products’ full capabilities.
- Collaborative Testing and Feedback: Working closely with our Development and Marketing teams, you will help test and evaluate new products and features. Your insights will play a critical role in refining product functionalities to ensure they meet customer expectations and evolving needs.
- Product Selection Guidance: With an in-depth understanding of our products and customer requirements, you will help customers select the ideal products for their applications. Your expertise will enable them to make informed decisions that align with their objectives.
What We’re Looking For
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in C/C /C#/Python/Matlab is essential. Your ability to write clean, efficient code and resolve technical issues will be key to providing exceptional support and enhancing our software offerings. In-depth knowledge of PCs and Operating systems is vital. Previous experience in electronics and using test equipment is an advantage.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills are critical to clearly and effectively engage with customers and collaborate with internal teams. Your ability to simplify complex technical concepts will be essential in fostering seamless interactions.
- Customer Service Orientation: Prior experience in a customer-facing role is a plus, along with a strong commitment to understanding and addressing customer needs. Your focus on delivering top-notch service will help drive customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Additional Job Roles Include- US IT Support Coordinator- (Part Time)
· Primary First line support for US office end users (Includes hardware and office software)
o Diagnose and fix hardware and software problems
o Basic trouble shooting
o Other support matters as directed by Mgmt and/or Pico’s Global IT Support Team
· Regularly communicate with Pico’s Global IT Support team
· Refer matters to Pico’s Global IT support team as needed
· Document support instances as required in Pico’s support ticket system)
· Preparing and deploying end user equipment under standards and guidance from UK IT staff
o Planning, configuring, documenting, testing, and training.
· Responsible for maintaining accurate and up to date IT asset & license management tracker
· Upholding IT policies and security standards
o Educating and guiding end users where required
· Providing ad-hoc remote hands-on duties as required by Pico’s global IT support team
· Proactive review Pico’s IT monitoring tools, raising incidents as required by Pico’s Global IT support team
