Picture Perfect Carpentry, a growing carpentry contractor, is looking to fill a carpentry crew leader position. As a leading carpentry contractor in the area we are detail and customer oriented providing 100% customer satisfaction on every project.

The projects are generally located in south central Minnesota and the western suburbs of the Twin Cities.

Job Description:

This position is completely responsible for the success of its projects to include carpentry construction, client relations and crew management and development. The supervisor has the responsibility to motivate and lead an efficient and productive crew while overseeing all activities on the construction site, and maintaining communication with the client, building inspectors, subcontractors, suppliers, fellow employees and management. Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist with managing of project, labor, equipment, subcontractors, building inspectors, and material to accomplish project within timelines and budgets.
  • Provide proper and all necessary instructions to crew members so that everyone is prepared to complete construction projects efficiently.
  • Coordinate the use of crew members, equipment, materials and other resources to complete construction projects efficiently.
  • Monitor crew members, time, materials or any other factor, so appropriate adjustments can be made to maximize the end result, a successful construction project.
  • Maintain customer contact to keep them updated on their project.
  • Look for new procedures to assist the company in becoming more efficient.
  • Support and participate in the implementation of best practices in carpentry operations.
  • Oversee the crew members in developing high performance work teams. Support crew members in their growth into developing into an integral member of our team.
  • Help crew member’s advance in skills and responsibilities within our company.
  • Report any unsatisfactory performances or any behavior that would cause a negative reflection of our company.
  • Provide training to crew members to provide a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Provide training of save operation of equipment and tools.
  • Provide training of crew members for proper installation and quality construction.
  • Install and encourage a positive attitude and create an enjoyable work environment for crew members.
  • Complete daily paper work accurately which includes but not limited to time cards, daily work reports, job summary reports (labor & material), inspection reports and receipts.
  • Be able to quickly adjust to different work situations and remain composed under stressful situations.
  • Ensure a high level of good housekeeping and care of company assets in the field, vehicles, shop and entire property of the company.
  • Assist in the field which requires manual/physical working conditions.
  • Any and all other tasks that management feels is for the betterment of the company.

Job Requirements:

· Be honest, respectful, self motivated and organized.

· Manage and motivate people.

· Posses a drivers license with a clean driving record, this will be verified by our insurance company.

· Posses Minnesota Health Card.

· Pass DOT drug screening.

· Work in inclement weather including but not limited to rain, heat, cold and snow.

· Must be able to regularly stand, walk, crouch, stoop or kneel, sit, reach with hands and arms, lift regularly 80 pounds and navigate over rough terrain for extended periods of time.

· Know materials, methods, and skills used in various construction installations common to the Midwest region.

· Ability to read and understand a blueprint.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
