SUMMARY
Candidate performs all duties of the Security Officer and acts as a lead to other officers. In times of operational need, this person will cover the shift as a Security Supervisor. Candidate must be able to assist the Security Supervisor in their duties on a designated shift if necessary.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following when acting as a Security Officer : Other duties may be assigned.
- Candidate will, at the direction of the Security Supervisor or Security Shift Manager, relay instructions to the Security Officers.
- Candidate must understand the importance of guest safety.
- Candidate must have excellent communication skills and be able to interact with the public.
- Candidate must be professional and courteous at all times to both Security Officers and the public.
- Candidate may provide training to officers.
- Candidate ensures compliance with all rules and regulations of the PGCB, PLCB, PHRC, the standard operating procedures of Presque Isle Downs and all other applicable laws.
- Candidate will assist with the destruction of used cards and dice from table games.
- Candidate will be responsible for escorting fills, credits, and documents to and from the cage and pit.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent. Candidate must have 1-2 years of experience in the security field or equivalent.
LANGUAGE ABILITY
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively after groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATH ABILITY
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Must possess intermediate PC skills. Microsoft Office experience required.
CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES
Must be able to obtain and maintain appropriate licensing from the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Candidate will relay instructions to Security Officers and may have to train officers.
