What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seeking General Pediatricians based in the Emergency Department, CCMC position at PIDS Advocacy Committee - As?
The Department of Pediatrics at the Steven and Alexandra Cohen Children’s Medical Center of New York is seeking board eligible / board certified General Pediatricians to practice in the Fast Track area of our Emergency Department at CCMC . We are looking for competent clinicians to provide thoughtful and timely patient care to our growing pediatric community. We currently have two opportunities available : a full-time opportunity and a unique opportunity to work full-time during school months to help with the volume.
Our PEM team consists of 33 attendings, 9 fellows, and 6 advanced care providers. We are located on the Queens and Nassau County border, in close proximity to Manhattan. The department layout includes 33 individual patient exam rooms and 2 critical care / trauma bays. We are the busiest American College of Surgeons Pediatric Level 1 Trauma Center in NY state, with a volume of approximately 70,000 visits a year. We have a dedicated behavioral health area, as well as a behavioral health urgicenter. Our amazing and highly skilled nursing staff recently received the highest ranking in Magnet designation and were a recipient of the Lantern award from the Emergency Nurse’s Association. Amongst our staff are experts in Global Health, Child Abuse, Ultrasound, Emergency Management, Pediatric Transport, Trauma, Quality, Advocacy / Gun Violence Prevention, and Research.
