Description : RESPONSIBLE FOR :
Performs diagnostic and therapeutic NuclearMedicine and / or Nuclear Cardiology procedures according to allProtocols, Policies and Procedures and adhering to A.L.A.R.A.programs. Performs all quality control procedures in accordancewith manufacturer, state and federal guidelines. Demonstratesability to perform advance imaging (Cardiac and Vascular) and iscompetent / proficient with cross-sectional anatomy and physiology.Provides more complex technical care necessary to meet identifiedpatient needs.
Qualifications :
MINIMUM EDUCATIONREQUIRED :
Graduate of a Nuclear Medicine programaccredited by either the Joint Review Committee on EducationPrograms in Nuclear Medicine Technology (JRCNMT) or the NuclearMedicine Technology Certification Board(NMTCB).
MINIMUM EXPERIENCEREQUIRED :
Two (2) years ofexperience.
MINIMUMLICENSURE / CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW :
EitherCNMT or NMTCB registered.
ADDITIONALQUALIFICATIONS :
BLS Certified.
Possesses a thorough knowledge of radiation safetyguidelines and radiopharmaceuticals as needed to perform andprocess Nuclear Medicine examinations.
