Job Title : CVOR Certified Surgical First Assistant

Job Specialty : Surgical Services - Cardiac, Vascular, Endovascular, Thoracic

Job Duration : 14 Weeks

Shift : Day 3x12-Hour (06 : 30 - 19 : 00)

Guaranteed Hours : Not specified

Experience : Minimum of 3 years, Unit accepts first-time travelers

License : GA or Compact license required

Certifications : BLS, CSFA, NBSTSA, or NCCSA

Must-Have : Cardiac, vascular, endovascular, thoracic experience

Job Description :

• Complete the privileging process prior to the start; timeline approximately 3 months.
• Schedule includes call one day a week and one weekend every 4 weeks; flexible based on departmental needs.
• Floating may be required within the facility / scope of practice and to the Main OR as needed.
• Candidates will undergo clinical review and must pass to be considered for the position.
• RTO is capped at a maximum of 7 days. No holiday RTO is accepted.
• Full compliance is required to start on time. Non-compliance may result in a start date pushed back by 2 weeks.
• Strong preference for two supervisory references; manager-level or above required.
• Must be flexible to work major holidays if they fall during the assignment period.
• Candidates must be available to submit core items and complete / schedule labs swiftly to ensure an on-time start.
• Modules are completed during orientation and vary by specialty. These are recorded via transcripts and are non-billable.
