Description : RESPONSIBLE FOR :
Performs diagnostic and therapeutic NuclearMedicine and / or Nuclear Cardiology procedures according to allProtocols, Policies and Procedures and adhering to A.L.A.R.A.programs. Performs all quality control procedures in accordancewith manufacturer, state and federalguidelines.
Qualifications :
MINIMUM EDUCATIONREQUIRED :
Graduate of a Nuclear Medicine programaccredited by either the Joint Review Committee on EducationPrograms in Nuclear Medicine Technology (JRCNMT) or the NuclearMedicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
MINIMUM EXPERIENCEREQUIRED :
None
MINIMUM LICENSURE / CERTIFICATIONREQUIRED BY LAW :
Registered nuclear technologistwith either the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist(Nuclear) ARRT (N) or the Nuclear Medicine TechnologistCertification Board(NMTCB-CNMT).
ADDITIONALQUALIFICATIONS :
BLS Certified. Possesses athorough knowledge of radiation safety guidelines andradiopharmaceuticals as needed to perform and process NuclearMedicine examinations.
