Job Description:
Piedmont Cancer Institute, P.C. (PCI) is a prominent private practice with an excellent reputation for providing quality patient care in Atlanta and surrounding areas. We are actively seeking a dedicated full-time Clinical Nurse, RN to join our team at our Stockbridge location.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform Registered Nurse (RN) clinical functions in the care of patients with blood disorders and cancer.
- Assist with telephone triage, administration of chemotherapy, biologic therapies and other medications
- Communicate with patients and family; teaching, counseling and serving as a liaison to support services.
- Coordinate effectively with providers to ensure quality patient care is attained.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of GA.
- BLS Certification
- Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) experience preferred but not required.
- ONS chemotherapy/immunotherapy provider course certification preferred.
- Proficiency in central line care and venipuncture preferred. Knowledge of professional Registered Nurse (RN) theory and practice to implement and evaluate patient care
- Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, families, co-workers, medical staff and the public
- Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations
- Ability to interpret, adapt, and apply guidelines and procedures
- Ability to work in a changing, multiple-demand setting in order to prioritize a large volume of work and complete work efficiently.
- Good computer skills and knowledge of EHR systems.
- Some travel is required-very intermittent.
