Our 12-month, comprehensive,transition-to-practice program facilitates your progress fromstudent to professional nurse through education, mentorship andpeer support. Our Nurse Residency program prepares new graduatenurses by teaching the knowledge, skills and behaviors that arenecessary to continuously improve quality and safety at the pointof care. It combines precepted orientation, led by dedicatedpreceptors, with blended learningexperiences.
Nurse residentswill :
- develop the clinical judgmentneeded to rapidly recognize a change in patients condition and theurgency of a clinical situation
- cultivateexcellent communication skills, allowing them to engage withcolleagues and support patients

RESPONSIBLE FOR : The staff nurse provides nursing care to patientsfrom birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursing processes toassess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care for patients. He / shefunctions within the framework of the policies and procedures ofthe organization and demonstrates professional growth andaccountability.
