Job Description:
The staff nurse provides comprehensive nursing care to patients across the lifespan, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. As a member of the healthcare team, the staff nurse is responsible for maintaining high standards of practice, coordinating patient care activities, and promoting quality nursing care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans
- Implement evidence-based nursing interventions to achieve patient outcomes
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information
Qualifications:
Education:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Experience:
- New graduates eligible; one year of nursing experience in a hospital setting preferred
Certifications/Licenses:
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Georgia or Multistate License (NLC/eNLC)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Nursing
- Advanced certification in a specialty area, if applicable
- Prior experience in a hospital setting
