The purpose of this position is to assist with Work-based Learning related responsibilities; this includes date entry, assisting with WBL orientation and registration, maintaining student’s work-based learning documentation, working with supervisor to maintain WBL web page and marketing content, helping to place students in a WBL environment, handling orientations and documentation, and assisting with special projects as needed.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Essential DutiesAnswering calls and greeting visitors: Will be responsible for answering incoming phone calls, taking messages, and directing calls to the appropriate person. May also greet visitors and provide them with assistance or directions.Managing correspondence: This includes sorting and distributing incoming mail, emails, and faxes. May also be responsible for drafting and sending routine correspondence, such as emails, memos, or letters, on behalf of your supervisor or the department.Scheduling and coordinating meetings: This will involve coordinating participants calendars, reserving meeting rooms, sending invitations, and preparing necessary materials or documents.Data entry and record keeping: Maintaining WBL databases, entering data into spreadsheets or other software, and organizing files or records. This can include updating student information or assisting with registrations for WBL.Reviews and maintains documentation for audit reviews.Providing general administrative support: This can involve a wide range of tasks, such as photocopying, scanning, and filing documents.Supporting special projects: May be assigned to assist with specific projects or initiatives within the organization.Maintaining confidentiality: May handle sensitive information, such as student records, financial data, or confidential information. It is important to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise discretion in handling such information. Maintain current sites available for WBL student opportunitiesEnsure all documentation is compliant for state audit reportsProvide orientation and registration assistanceTrack students who are nearing their WBL course timings and assisting with proactive planning and placementAdditional Duties Collaborate with advising staff to ensure smooth registration and enrollment.Works with supervisor to maintain WBL web page and marketing content.Working with business and industry to locate WBL opportunities and to complete required documentationOther duties as needed.
