What are the responsibilities and job description for the Jail Diversion Peer Recovery Support Specialist position at Piedmont Community Services?
This position provides recovery support services to individuals who are participants in the JAIL DIVERSION PROGRAM. The Peer Support Specialist will provide outreach, support, and advocacy to assist individuals to access recovery supports behavioral health treatment services, and other community resources to improve the individual and quality of life. This position will work closely with the jail population and staff. The position is part of the Clinical Services Division of PCS and a vital link in the continuum of care to individuals with substance use disorders. Salary is commensurate with appropriate education and experience as it relates to the position.
