What are the responsibilities and job description for the Peer Recovery Employment Specialist position at Piedmont Community Services?
Full-time Peer Recovery Specialist working for the Community Recovery Program, the employment support program with Piedmont Community Services. This Peer will assist individuals with barriers to employment increasing their opportunity for employment through coordination of services within PCS and with other organizations. This Peer will also assist program participants with securing and maintaining employment that is consistent with their vocational goals. Peer will have the ability to facilitate job readiness workshops and possess knowledge of computer applications and social media sites. This position requires a personal history of lived experience with Substance Use Disorder or Mental Health diagnosis. Certified Peer Recovery Specialist preferred, a BA or BS degree is preferred but not required, preferably in human services, social work, psychology or business administration.
