A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PASTRY COOK:
You are passionate about good food, upholding our exceptional standards, and exceeding our members’ expectations. Each shift, you get the chance to prepare delicious sweets and treats for our membership. You carefully follow recipes and work hard to ensure the quality, consistency, and timeliness of all baked goods, including breads, pastries, and desserts. You are responsible for prepping and breaking down workstation and production areas, as well as producing all necessary mis en place. Finally, you execute all dessert orders with a smile for members and their guests.
In addition to the proper food prep, you ensure it is properly stored and handled. You inspect food prep and serving areas regularly to ensure safe, sanitary food-handling practices. You love the camaraderie that comes with working as part of a cohesive culinary team in a tightly run kitchen. You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where time goes by quickly.
WORK SCHEDULE:
Our club in Atlanta, GA is seeking to hire a full-time AM Pastry Cook. The typical work schedule is 7:00 am to 3:30 pm with Monday and one other variable day off.

Requirements
- At least 18 years of age or older
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Two years of experience in commercial food production
- Certificate or diploma from a recognized bakery and pastry arts training program preferred
- Six months' experience in a commercial, scratch pastry kitchen preferred
- Able to stand for long periods and walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch, twist or reach
- Able to push, pull or lift up to 50 pounds
