Audiology Assistant
We're looking for someone who is great with people, accurate with details, and loves to work with a team in a energetic medical office. You'll join our audiologists in providing service to our patients by being frontline support for our hearing aid patients and their needs. This position will work primarily out of our Mt. Airy and Elkin, NC office.

Audiology Assistant
Primary Job Activities
Patient Contact:
- Answers incoming phone calls from patients and educates them on the value proposition of the practice.
- Encourage companions to join patients during their consultation visit.
- Schedules appointments via the clinic’s patient management software.
- Contacts insurance companies to inquire if the patient has hearing aid benefits.
- Assists in daily department setup and closure.
- Inputs all needed information into an electronic patient management system.
Technician:
- Performs hearing aid checks, cleaning, and repairs.
- Assists with diagnostic testing of pediatric and special needs patients.
- Assists Audiologists with hearing aid orders, exchanges or returns and minor hearing aid repair/maintenance.
- Oversees the shipping and receiving of merchandise to the office and patient pick-ups.
- Maintains organization of lab, including general maintenance and cleaning of instruments.
- Restocks/orders supplies and oversees overall clinic inventory.

- Excellent interpersonal skills that allow effective working relationships with a diverse customer, colleague, and vendor population. This includes listening, sales, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong computer skills
- Must be able to organize time and prioritize numerous duties within strict deadlines.
- Requires the ability to deal with numerous interruptions.
- Must deal with customers in a caring and respectful manner.
- Must be detailed oriented.

Educational Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- CNA perferred
