Location : Piedmont Fayette ED7a-7p Full Time
JOBPURPOSE :
The Paramedic, under the supervision of theProfessional Registered Nurse and / or Physician is responsible forfacilitating age-appropriate, culturally and ethnically sensitivecare, maintaining a safe environment, educating patients and theirfamilies, collecting information, communicating effectively, andutilizing technology. The Paramedic participates in the assessment,planning, implementation, and evaluation of the delivery of healthcare services and task. The role of the Paramedic Nurse Extenderalso, includes patient advocacy, teaching, performance improvement,and the oversight of unlicensedpersonnel.
Qualifications :
MINIMUMEDUCATION REQUIRED :
High School Diploma orEquivalent.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :
1 yearof experience as a Paramedic preferred.
MINIMUMLICENSURE / CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW :
Currentcertification as a Paramedic in the State of Georgia required,National Registry preferred
BLS Certificationrequired
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS :
If working inthe Emergency Department, ALS / ACLS and PALSrequired
Paramedics new to specialty will completeapplicable certifications within 6 months of startdate)
Experienced Emergency Department Paramedics willhave 6 months to obtain the PALScertification.
