Education: BS/BA Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or related field
Required: 2-3 years of supervisory/management experience. Advanced computer skills required.
Preferred: 5-7 years of Accounting experience (Payroll, Budgeting, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and General Ledger).
Current/valid License: N/A

Pay Range - $61,889 - $71,746

Job Title - Finance Manager

- Schedule: Monday - Friday: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
- Travel: As needed
- Directly manages bi-weekly payroll functions.
- Responsible for management of organizational inventory control.
- Maintains working knowledge of all PHS, Inc. grants and associated budgets. Assures expenses are properly allocated to grants by locations and departments.
- Analyzes and interprets financial data and develops reports to reflect internal economic conditions and trends. Presents financial data as requested by Finance Director and/or CFO.
- Performs month-end closing (including but not limited to):
- Reconciliation of accounts
- Preparation and/or review of necessary journal entries.
- Running preliminary reports to review budget variances with Finance Director and/or CFO.
- Reviews and approves disbursements consistent with procedures established.
- Manages and assists in annual independent audit.
- Conducts interview/selection/hire process for Accountants and Clerks.
- Coordinates new employee orientation and training for new hires within Accounting/Finance.
- Supervises Accountants and Clerks daily functions. Performs staff evaluations in timely manner. Develops Performance Improvement Plans as needed.
- Evaluates and addresses ongoing training needs of the staff.
- Provides leadership and models professional behavior to the staff.
- Checks and approve time sheets for staff.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
