About Position: The Team Lead (TL) for Patient Accounts (PA) acts under the direction, guidance and supervision of the Manager of Patient Accounts. This position is responsible for supervising staff, approving timecards and assisting with the assignment of departmental projects and helping to facilitate training to current and new staff for medical and dental processes. The Team Lead will also be the initial contact for PA staff and the staff at the centers in need of assistance. If more in depth support is needed. The TL will escalate requests to the Manager or Director of Patient Accounts. The role of the TL will be to help guide and support the other patient accounts staff with their daily tasks. The TL will keep the staff updated on various changes in the insurance industry, via webinars, onsite training and presentations.

Duties/Responsibilities - The TL should have dental and medical experience along with a working knowledge of various insurance carriers. The TL must be able to facilitate training of Centricity and Dentrix in order to assist team members and staff at the sites.
Qualifications/Working Conditions - Requires frequent sitting for long periods, operation of standard office machines and computer. May require lifting of up to 25 pounds. Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity. Requires use of office equipment, such as computer terminals, telephones or copiers. Requires normal vision range. Work is performed in an office environment. Contact with staff and external clients and vendors. A valid driver’s license and proof of insurance is required for this position. This position requires considerable driving to remote locations.
Education: Minimum requirement is high school diploma, preferred associate or bachelor’s degree in public health or equivalent experience.
Preferred: 3 or more years of experience as an Insurance Analyst at Piedmont Health Services.
Current/valid License: Active NC Drivers License Required
Pay Range - $20.48 - $23.74
