About Position : The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing the accounting functions at Piedmont Health Services (PHS), which includes managing general ledger transactions, preparing financial reports, reconciling accounts, contract and budget management, data management, auditing payroll, managing AR / AP, grant management, audit preparation, improving internal controls, and complying with healthcare regulations (HIPAA, Medicare, Medicaid) and coding guidelines. The Senior Accountant must understand revenue and expense allocations, and have the ability to track allocations against dynamic budgets. It is essential to create budget forecasting models and present these models to leadership and the finance / accounting team in an effective manner. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications -
Education : Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business-related field.
Required : 5 years of experience in financial management or accounting.
Strong financial acumen and a deep understanding of the accounting standards set by the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Preferred : 2 years in nonprofit accounting.
Experience managing grant compliance.
Experience working with federal, state, and private grants in a nonprofit setting.
Current / valid License : Certified Public Accountant (CPA), preferred;
MIP Fund Accounting Software, preferred.
Immunizations : All PHS Required Immunizations
Pay Range - $61,889 - $71,746
