About Position :

  • Work Location : PACE Pittsboro and PACE Burlington facilities
  • Schedule : Monday through Friday
  • Travel : As needed between PACE Pittsboro and PACE Burlington facilities
  • Duties / Responsibilities - The Skilled Nursing Facility Nurse Practitioner is responsible for applying advanced knowledge / clinical skills necessary to assess / manage the healthcare of chronically ill geriatric participants in Piedmont Health SeniorCare (PHSC) who are residing in skilled nursing facilities (SNF) for respites and long-term placement.

    Education / Experience : Graduate of certified or accredited Nurse Practitioner Program; 5 years clinical nursing experience with at least 2 years supervisory experience. One year of experience with the frail or elderly preferred.

  • Must possess skills necessary to provide care for geriatric patients
  • Must have proven clinical leadership and management skills
  • Good organizational and supervisory skills
  • Must have the ability to get along in a team environment
  • Effectively handle difficult and unusual interpersonal situations
  • Must possess the ability to learn, teach and research
  • Ability to solve problems and think analytically / critically
  • Strong oral and written communication skills desired
  • Must meet a standardized set of competencies established by Piedmont Health SeniorCare and approved by CMS before working independently
  • Must only act within the scope of his / her authority to practice
  • Licensure, Registry or Certification Required : Certification from Nurse Practitioner program; valid NC Driver License; Board Certification (ANCC); NP license to practice in NC.

    Immunizations : Be medically cleared for communicable diseases and have all immunizations up-to-date prior to beginning employment.

    Pay Range - $104,019 - $127,930 (Based on Experience Level)
