Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled Endoscopy Technician to assist surgeons during endoscopic procedures. The ideal candidate will ensure the operating suite is adequately prepared and all instruments are cleaned, sterilized, and functioning properly.
Responsibilities:
* Assist surgeon during endoscopy procedures
* Prepare the operating suite for procedures by ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available and in working order
* Clean, sterilize, and maintain instruments and equipment to prevent contamination and ensure patient safety
* Collaborate with anesthesiologist as needed to administer blocks or other medical procedures
Requirements:
* Minimum Education: Completion of a surgical technology program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES)
* Minimum Experience: 1-2 years of experience as a surgical technologist or endoscopy technician preferred
* Required Certifications/Registrations/Licenses: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential offered by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
