Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Fabricator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and assembling various materials to meet the needs of our projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fabrication and welding, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality.
Duties
- Operate a forklift to transport materials and equipment around the construction site.
- Read and interpret blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate fabrication.
- Use tape measures, squares, and gauges to measure and mark materials for cutting and fitting.
- Assemble and fabricate components according to project plans and specifications.
- Utilize hand tools, such as grinders, hammers and wrenches to assemble and disassemble equipment.
- Weld materials using GMAW/FLUX CORE welding techniques.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with relevant codes and standards.
- Collaborate with other team members to achieve project goals.
- Operate a rig to lift and maneuver heavy equipment and materials.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
Experience
- Proven experience in fabrication and welding, preferably in the construction industry.
- Familiarity with construction sites and the use of hand tools and equipment.
- Knowledge of codes and standards relevant to construction projects.
- Ability to operate a forklift and rig safely and efficiently.
- Basic math skills to ensure accurate measurements and calculations.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality in all aspects of the job.
- Experience in assembling and disassembling equipment and materials.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to changing project requirements.
