We are seeking an experienced and proactive Safety Manager to lead and oversee the safety programs and regulatory compliance across our three locations in Burlington, and Graham. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining safety policies, procedures, and training programs to ensure a safe work environment for all employees.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with extensive knowledge of OSHA regulations, risk assessment, and workplace safety best practices. This person must be local and willing to travel regularly between the three locations to ensure consistent safety practices and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and oversee the company-wide safety program across all three locations.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, state, and federal safety regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Establish and enforce safety policies, procedures, and best practices to prevent workplace incidents.
- Lead incident investigations, document findings, and implement preventive measures.
- Organize and conduct safety training programs, toolbox talks, etc for employees at all locations, including new hire orientations and ongoing compliance training.
- Work close with the HR Manager for all safety-related matters, including regulatory agencies, workers' compensation claims, and emergency response planning.
- Develop and maintain safety records, reports, and documentation to ensure compliance and track safety performance.
- Work closely with site managers, supervisors, and employees to foster a strong safety culture within the company.
- Oversee and manage PPE programs, ensuring proper use and availability at all locations.
- Implement strategies to reduce workplace injuries and improve overall safety performance.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 3 years of experience in safety management, preferably in manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Extensive knowledge of OSHA regulations and other workplace safety standards.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to conduct training sessions and effectively communicate safety policies.
- Experience with incident investigations, risk assessments, and safety audits.
- Ability to travel regularly between Burlington and Graham.
- Certifications in safety management are preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety management software.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to develop structured safety programs.
