Responsible for Overall Patient Flow in the Emergency Department
The Emergency Department (ED) Patient Flow Coordinator position plays a pivotal role in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of patients through the ED. This key position coordinates all patient care activities, serving as a liaison with the ED medical staff to guarantee that quality care can be delivered promptly and safely. The Patient Flow Coordinator effectively delegates tasks and embodies exceptional teamwork, leadership, and professionalism within the ED environment.
Key Qualifications
Education: Graduate of a nursing program
Experience: One year of experience in an Emergency Department setting, preferably as a registered nurse (RN)
Licenses/Certifications: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Georgia or a multistate license; BLS certification required
Preferred Qualifications
BLS/ACLS/PALS certification preferred
BSN degree preferred
Certification in Emergency Nursing (CEN) preferred
Participation and/or leadership experience in quality and process improvement projects
