We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to fill the role of ED Patient Flow Coordinator, Nights at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital.
About the Job
The ED Patient Flow Coordinator coordinates patient movement through the Emergency Department (ED) safely and efficiently. This critical role is responsible for delegating workload and promoting teamwork, leadership, and professionalism among ED staff.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with ED physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth patient flow.
- Develop and implement strategies to reduce wait times and improve patient satisfaction.
- Monitor and analyze ED workflow, identifying areas for process improvement.
- Lead quality improvement projects to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records and reports on patient flow metrics.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- A graduate degree from a nursing program.
- At least one year of experience as a registered nurse in the ED setting.
- A current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Georgia or a multistate license.
- BLS certification, with BLS/ACLS/PALS certification highly preferred.
- A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree, or willingness to pursue one.
- Certification in Emergency Nursing (CEN), or willingness to obtain it.
What We Offer
