Job Description
The Emergency Department Patient Flow Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the movement of patients through the ED in a safe and efficient manner. This involves collaborating with the ED medical staff to ensure that care can be delivered efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate patient flow activities
- Collaborate with ED medical staff
- Delegating workload and ensuring teamwork
- Serving as a liaison between departments
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Graduate of a nursing program and one (1) year of Emergency Department experience, as a registered nurse (RN). You must also have current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License and BLS certification required. Additional qualifications include BLS/ ACLS/ PALS certification required, BSN preferred, Certification in Emergency Nursing (CEN) preferred, and Experience participating in and/or leading quality and process improvement projects.
