What are the responsibilities and job description for the EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR - OPERATIONS position at Piedmont Newton Hospital?
Description : JOB PURPOSE :
This position constructs strategies, sets goals / targets / metrics and develops leaders, reviews and changes rules and / or procedures and reorganizes / restructures teams to achieve set goals and standards, oversees all aspects of business operations, including, but not limited to : process / procedure development and management, staffing and scheduling practices, key performance indicators, metrics tracking and reporting.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
1. Develops and fosters effective collaboration between clinical departments, divisions, medical staff leadership, and other affiliated services (inside and outside of the hospital) to ensure an integrated approach to providing services, and fulfilling the hospitals goals and objectives.
2. Oversees major workforce and resource decisions for the hospital.
3. Develops new business strategies to enhance market share and improve overall performance.
4. Works through the management team and medical leadership of the hospital, serving as a resource to help reduce costs, enhance revenues, achieve effective utilization regarding quality goals and objectives, while analyzing and utilizing information to develop and support management decisions.
5. Fosters systems, program development, quality, fiscal management, compliance and clinical management measures, physician relationships, outreach strategies, work culture enhancement and internal communication and consensus-building.
6. Creates and implements goals and objectives for assigned areas. Responsible for preparation, development, and implementation of budgets for assigned areas.
7. Effectively communicates hospital priorities and goals.
8. Provides effective management and guidance for all assigned areas.
Qualifications :
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED :
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a closely related field is required.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :
Seven (7) years of healthcare administration experience in a large and complex setting with direct responsibility for cost / revenue centers, designing and implementing business plans, and managing staff.
Five (5) years of experience leading complex strategic initiatives, which impact multiple service lines, and levels of leadership.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS :
Masters degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.
