Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Sergeant to join our team. As a Sergeant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining safety and security within the correctional facility. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee and manage the activities of other officers and offenders while ensuring compliance with facility rules and regulations.
Communicates with management, staff, visitors, offenders and the public. Leads and counsels staff. Completes required training. Maintains a safe and productive workforce. Provides first line supervision to Jail Officers and Jail Officer Trainees in an institutional setting. Supervises and monitors staff on assigned shift to ensure a safe and secure environment.
Successful candidates will provide high-level security within the jail and provide direct supervision over offenders, as well as working numerous posts throughout the institution.
Successful candidate will ensure that the Standard Operating Policy and Procedure is followed, maintain documentation as necessary to support corrective action, supervise the admitting and release of offenders, maintain timesheets, evaluations and scheduling, amongst other duties and any additional duties as directed by the Superintendent/designee.

High School Diploma or GED
Valid Driver’s License
Good Health and Physically Fit for Duty
