What are the responsibilities and job description for the Community Development Specialist position at Piedmont Triad Regional Council?
The Piedmont Triad Regional Council is seeking a highly motivated individual to fill the role of Community Development Project Inspector I. This position will play a vital part in implementing creative regional solutions to improve the lives of our community.
As a Community Development Project Inspector, you will be responsible for conducting inspections throughout the Community Development programs, including Section 8, Weatherization, Essential Single-Family Rehab, and CDBG block grants. You will ensure compliance with standards and regulations, and demonstrate a responsible work history exercising reliability and independent work.
The ideal candidate will have a high school graduation or equivalent supplemented by trade school coursework in building construction trades, and three years of experience in the construction trades and bid specification preparation work. Additionally, they will possess basic math skills, computer proficiency, and excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.
Piedmont Triad Regional Council offers an excellent benefits package, including Local Governmental Employees Retirement System (LGERS) and participation in PSLFP. The salary range is $46,238.40 DOQ.
