Job Summary:
Piedmont University is seeking an adjunct instructor to teach sections of psychology courses online and/or on our Athens campus. The ideal candidate will have a master's degree in psychology or a related field and prior teaching experience in a college/university environment.

Responsibilities:
As an adjunct instructor, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and secure records of student grades and attendance. You will also maintain high standards of professionalism in the content, objectives, teaching, and grading of all courses. Additionally, you will file accurate course syllabi with the College of Arts and Sciences each semester and contribute to the ongoing operation of your respective department and college.
Qualifications:
We are looking for candidates who possess advanced organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of students. You should also be able to establish and maintain working relationships with all stakeholders and maintain detailed student records. Prior teaching experience in a college/university environment is preferred.
Work Environment:
This position requires work to be performed in an inside environmental condition. Incumbents will perform work that is mostly sedentary where they exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Incumbents will regularly get up and down from a seated position, reach, bend, and stand throughout the day. Incumbents are required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; and extensive reading.
