Adjunct Faculty are expected to exemplify objectives and values consistent with the mission statement of the university.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Managing clinical students in assigned settings.
Effective Clinical / Lab teaching and interacting with students in a professional manner.
Maintaining accurate and secure records of student grades, attendance, and clinical / lab evaluations.
Strong communication and collaboration with clinical partners and staff on assigned units.
Maintaining high standards of professionalism in the content, objectives, teaching, and grading of clinical paperwork
Work in collaboration with course coordinators and assigned teaching faculty to ensure course objectives and learning outcomes are met as directed.
Maintaining an understanding of university and BSN program policies, procedures, and the curriculum and degree requirements of their respective schools
Maintaining a professional level of scholarship by maintaining all required licensure and credentials necessary to meet the Georgia Board of Nursing.
Typical Qualifications
Education and Experience
A Bachelor of Science in Nursing is required, with a Master of Science in Nursing preferred.
Licenses and Certification
Current unrestricted Georgia Licensure as a Registered Nurse
Current BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) Certification
Valid Georgia Driver's License (or obtained within 30 days of hire date) and satisfactory MVR

Essential functions and responsibilities of this position require incumbents to be subject to inside environmental conditions where there is protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
Essential functions and responsibilities of this position require incumbents to perform medium work where they will exert up to 50 lbs of force occasionally and / or up to 20 lbs of force frequently and / or 10 lbs of force frequently to move objects. Incumbents will be required to stoop or bend the body downward and forward by bending the spine at the waist; kneel to come to rest on the knee or knees; crouch by bending the body downward and forward by bending leg and spine; reach; stand for up to 12 hours per day; walk by moving about on foot to accomplish tasks; push / pull objects; lift; use fingering and grasping; feeling to perceive the attributes of objects; talk to express and exchange ideas; hear to perceive the nature of sounds at a normal speaking level; and to make repetitive motions.
Close visual acuity is required to perform the essential functions and responsibilities of this position, including preparing and analyzing data, viewing a computer monitor, and performing regular reading.
