Responsibilities and Requirements
The Head Strength and Conditioning Coordinator at Piedmont University is responsible for leading the Strength and Conditioning Program, including designing and implementing training programs for assigned teams. This individual must have a strong background in strength and conditioning, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills.
Essential Functions
• Design and implement proper, efficient, scientifically sound training programs for assigned teams
• Ensure safe operation and professional supervision of the strength and conditioning facility
• Oversee Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coordinator (if applicable)
• Develop and maintain policies and procedures that govern SCF use and staff
• Work with Director of Daily Operations to schedule space for training sessions outside of the SCF
• Act as a resource in all areas of strength and conditioning for student-athletes, and coaches
• Acts as a preceptor for students in the Health and Human Performance Program
• Maintains proper records
• Develops a work schedule affording accessibility to student-athletes;
• Reports on needs and maintenance of SCF
• Attends professional meetings, clinics, and workshops as appropriate.
