Key Responsibilities :
Prescription Management : Accurately fill prescriptions in-house as prescribed by physicians and manage medication inventory to ensure proper stock levels.Payment Processing : Accept payments for medications, self-pay services, and outstanding balances from patients.Documentation : Maintain and update all clinical documentation, including narcotic sales logs, medication logs, and prescription filling records in compliance with regulatory requirements.Communication : Respond to patient and pharmacy inquiries, documenting consultations in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).Collaboration : Build positive relationships with physicians and other providers to enhance the practice's success.Compliance : Ensure HIPAA, OSHA, and all relevant regulatory standards are adhered to in daily operations.Occupational Medicine Support : Accurately create and send worker’s compensation information to the appropriate facility for occupational medicine services.X-ray Management : Make copies of imaging studies for patients as requested.Team Support : Assist with clinical duties and administrative tasks as needed to ensure smooth operations.Travel Requirement : Support staffing and operational needs by traveling to other Piedmont Urgent Care locations as required.Required Qualifications :
Education : High school diploma or equivalentExperience : 1 year of pharmacy technician or medical office experience preferredSkills : Strong attention to detail, ability to multitask, and proficiency in clinical documentationTechnical Skills : Experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software, EPIC preferredFlexibility : Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including some weekends and holidaysTeam Player : A proactive and supportive approach to patient care and administrative efficiencyAt Piedmont Urgent Care, we believe in kindness, excellence, empowerment, resilience, and proactive service.
