Water Treatment Plant Operators-Class 1, 2, or 3 license OR OPERATOR IN TRAINING (OIT)
Requirements:
Valid Class 1, 2, or 3 Water Operator license OR join as an Operator In Training (OIT) if have a degree in chemistry or related science
Prefer minimum of 1-2 years in surface water treatment plant facility
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid Georgia driver’s license or ability to obtain one within 30 days of employment
Ability to work night, day, weekends, and/or holiday shifts
Must pass pre-employment background check & drug screening
Duties:
Procure samples for testing
Mix chemicals
Perform general maintenance on equipment
Enter data into a log book or computer spreadsheet or chart
Review and submit data to regulatory bodies
Ability to lift 50 lbs. frequently
Ability to work alone for shift
Ability to walk up and down stairs and ladders regularly
