This position supports Piedmont Eastside.
Job Purpose
Directs the Human Resources function and serves as a leader in an operating unit within the Piedmont Healthcare System. Provides advice, counsel, and guidance to department directors, managers, supervisors in all aspects of HR. Establishes and maintains a proactive employee relations climate. Oversees the performance management process to ensure fairness and consistency is applied. Reporting to the Regional Exec Dir HR and dotted line reporting to the Hospital Entity CEO, manages the HR office and staff. Works closely with Corporate HR and Centers of Excellence (COE) to meet functional needs of the operating unit.
Qualifications
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
A Bachelors degree in human resources, business administration, healthcare administration, or a closely related field is required.
Minimum Experience Required
7 years of experience progressively responsible professional work experience in Human Resources including 3 years of management experience.
Minimum Licensure/Certification Required By Law
None.
Additional Qualifications
Masters or PHR/SPHR certification preferred. Excellent presentation, communications and interpersonal skills, strong customer service background, advanced skill level with Microsoft Excel and Word. The ability to work independently on a broad variety of projects; ability to exercise effective judgment, sensitivity and creativity to changing needs and situations; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with people. PeopleSoft experience preferred. Local travel as appropriate to implement strategic initiatives. Strong working knowledge of local, state and federal employment law.
