OPPORTUNITY
WellStreet Urgent Care is seeking a Regional Clinical Operations Director. Reporting to the Company Chief Medical Officer, the Regional Clinical Director (RCOD) will lead medical operations and clinical oversight of their designate centers in the Piedmont Market. The RCOD will possess the ability to lead and work with WellStreet executives, local clinical leaders, clinical providers, and senior operation leaders. The RCOD will ensure the appropriate organizational structure (people / processes / systems) is in place and be responsible for achieving profitable growth, clinical excellence, service excellence and regulatory compliance. The RCOD will work with division leadership on strategic initiatives, budget planning, and general operations to achieve company goals. The ideal candidate will have experience leading a large multi-site medical staff organization.
The RCOD will lead regional management and staff to drive operational performance, profitability, and patient retention/satisfaction. In addition, the RCOD will be a primary participant in the company’s medical staff recruiting efforts with the goal of attracting and retaining best-in-class clinical teams. The RCOD needs to be present in the field, engaging with operational team members, and partnering with local clinical leadership and Operators, as well as with business partners and patients. This position will require significant time in market and close coordination with centralized corporate business and clinical support units.
The successful Regional Medical Director will be capable of delivering the following results
1. Team: Build a best-in-class medical staff and clinical support teams that ensure quality and service excellence.
2. Clinical: Oversee clinical policy and procedure that ensures safe and effective care and manages risk
3. Operations: Measure and manage metrics to ensure financial, operational and quality targets are met.
4. Growth: Drive EBITDA expansion through center patient growth, M&A, de novo activities and new business initiatives
5. Business Transformation: Drive innovation, manage teams through change, and identify new opportunities that position WellStreet as a leader in the urgent care industry
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
▪ Partner with the division operation leaders and local clinical leadership to ensure smooth day-to-day activities as it relates to center operations, and execution of the regional business plans.
▪ Identify, develop, and mentor new clinical leaders to support the Piedmont market’s regional and center level leadership structure
▪ Set clear performance targets for medical staff and clinical support teams
▪ Identify performance gaps and manage successful performance improvement.
▪ Support the transition of existing centers, adopting best practices, managing through change, and demonstrating cultural and clinical leadership.
• Partner with Regional VP of Operations to help develop processes, policies, procedures, and guidelines to assure quality of care standards are met throughout the system.
▪ Engage and develop relationships to influence and motivate center, regional office, and provider teammates.
▪ Motivate Providers to maintain an “owner mentality” and motivate clinic team members to consistently practice at the highest clinical and patient experience standards.
• Assess and monitor clinical competency of the Medical Staff through chart audits and performance assessments.
• Monitor and ensure accuracy of provider coding and documentation.
• Review and respond to patient care complaints and grievances and recommend or take corrective action where appropriate.
▪ Engage with providers to review financial, operational, and clinical performance and identify opportunities to improve.
▪ While maintaining high standards of medicine, support clinic KPIs including, but not limited to, reducing overall door-to-door times, cancel rates and improving Net Promoter Scores
▪ Support process improvement efforts throughout WellStreet Urgent Care through promotion and collaboration on best practice in clinical and business operations.

- Ensure an environment that embraces compliance and continuous improvement.
- Organize, structure, and oversee a cross-functional recruiting and retention effort that ensures a robust pipeline and a best-in-class medical staff.
- Notifies SMO/CMO immediately of any clinically significant poor patient outcomes or legal notices / demands of the Medical Staff.
QUALIFICATIONS
▪ 3-5 years leadership experience in a large market healthcare services business.
▪ Multi-site practice leadership experience is a must.
▪ Experience and demonstrated success managing large medical staff organizations (50-100 providers) in a fast-paced / high-growth environment is strongly preferred.
▪ A proven clinical business leader with a successful track record of performance in a fast-paced, growth environment.
▪ MD/DO, PA-C or NP with active Georgia State license and Certifications
▪ Demonstrated success driving growth, operational and clinical success.
